Guest AceOfSpades Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 I've noticed considerable hiss from the headphone jack even when volume is set to 0, it only happens when the blade is meant to be playing sounds, for example it stops a few seconds after a song is paused. Is this normal? I've also noticed a ticking sound that comes from the left earphone when wifi or bluetooth is on and the phone is in sleep mode, when airplane mode is on this doesn't happen. Anyone getting this? standard orange rom btw
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted August 24, 2011 Report Posted August 24, 2011 I for one am still getting this issue on Cm7, and it annoys me like HELL! Especially when you have decent headphones! - I take it no-one has a fix for this?

Guest targetbsp Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 (edited) It happens if you use non-stock headphones*. Hopefully some converter like the one linked will help but I don't know of anyone that's had the hissing having tried it for a before and after comparison. If you do... let us know. :D *try it - the ones that come with the phone work fine. I didn't believe it either. Edited August 25, 2011 by targetbsp

If you know soldering, you can buy 3,5mm 4pin JACK connector (for example this http://www.ges.cz/en/ksf-35-4g-GES06614024.html?cur=GBP ) and on the other side 3,5mm Jack socket on cable (for example this http://www.ges.cz/en/kks-35-GES06613727.html?cur=GBP ) and piece of shielded cable (two wires and shielding). One pin you should let unconnected. Than your phone will use your headphones and internal mic. The pin-out is simple. Pin is one channel, one ring is second channel, other ring is microphone and the last ring is ground. Which one from the rings is mic and audio channel depends on the phone manufacturer. I don't know how it is on Blade, but you can easily try it. B) I made something similar for my Nokia (2,5mm 4 pin to 3,5mm 3pin JACK). It is very cheap and easy to do.
