[Q] Can't change sounds in Froyo

I followed the instructions on StreakDroid.com to use QDLtool and install 2.2 on my Dell Streak.

Everything went fine, but now I can't change my notification sounds or my ringtones.

Whenever I go to do so, it brings up the list of options I have to change my sounds to, and when I select another sound, the menu closes and it reverts back (or never even goes to to begin with) the default sound.

Is there any way to fix this?

Oddly enough, I did a reset, then picked some system ringtones to see if maybe the format for the ringtones I had made was wrong or something, and it worked fine.

Can you explain in more detail how you solved this? Having the same problem. It's stuck on Ether Shake, which is bloody awful.

Performing a hard reset after installation of 2.2 usually helps things run a lot sweeter an should cure your problem. Just back up contacts etc before hand
