Guest heidthebaw Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Hey, finally got my Vega yesterday. Happy with it so far but wanted to ask a favour. I ddin;t really find any pronlems with it apart from the dubious viewing angles at times, and the occasional time where th esceen didn't sem to respond. My partner howvere went straight to Argos and it didn't let her purchase anything. I tried and the same.Tried later and it did. It would let you add it to the bastket but when you clicked to view the basket it would start loading but never complete. Then off to the Next website. When she clicks on anything at all to view it larger it just show a blank screen. If she clicks on where the image should be it shows the image of the graphic but nothing. It's on stock 1.04. Could someone else please try this to see if it is a general issue? Any I wanted to ask if I flash it, can I flash it back to stock 1.04 so I can return it if need be? Is flashing it likely to solve the above (obv not the viewing angles)? Thanks so much for your help guys, and keep up the good work! Esp Paul!!!
Guest trevor432990 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Have same problem on Argos site won't allow me to add to basket let alone pay for them not been to Next yet though.
Guest trevor432990 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) No problem on Next site though. Make sure you have plugins, popups, javascript enabled in browser settings first. Update:- Well no problem seeing pics of items but do have same issues adding to basket same as Argos site Update 2:- Think I've found solution on Next site basket problem ..... make sure you have 'Autofit Page' set on in browser settings seemed to work for me. Please test yourself and advise? Update 3:- Argos site now works so it looks like 'Auto-fit' must be set always for these sites. Note- After you set Auto-fit to on you need to go to the website home page and navigate back to the item you wish to order as the 'Refresh' button alone does not seem to register the setting has been changed. Guest massjourney Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 This sounds too complicated for my good lady... is there any "out the box" way of obtaining a consitent browsing experience? i.e. using another browser (not the stock one)?
Guest warriorscot Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Give Dolphin HD a try its probably the best all rounder other than the default browser. Or Opera is probably the most reliable at displaying pages in general but isn't as tablet friendly.

That would be cool

Guest heidthebaw Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Did my suggestion work then Heid? Not had the chance to try yet as at work, will do as soon as I get home :) Really appreciate the quick help on here guys.
Guest warriorscot Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Reinstalling the 1.04 update will reset it back to factory but all the mod is pretty tame just enabling some features that are essential for anything other than basic internet use. And replacing the browser is just a case of installing a new alps it works on stock Vegas you just can't use the. Market to make it easier without a mod.
