Contact Pictures (icons) how in 2.2??

When i use 2.1, my contacts have pictures next to there names, (i like to see there faces :-) )

They show up in the contact list and in the texting.

However when ive used 2.2 i cant get them to show up , tried everything, what am i doing wrong?

Its the only thing stopping me from going to 2.2

do you sync with google???

Because by doing that, the contact pictures from your google account have to be synched to your phone.

I do not have any problems with the contact pictures, just the photo of myself in the sms dialogue is not shown.

yes, with 2.1 it synchs on its own, and they show up , with 2.2 it synchs and they dont, tried adding them manually from the sim as well, no joy :-(

Mine are showing up OK in 2.2 I sync from Google and they just appeared for those contacts with pics

It is working for me - I have Alpha 3 2.2 and I get Contact Icons - I only have gmail contacts,

yes they do.. except for my own photo.

Maybe there could be a a setting wrong, so that your san fran shows the contacts from your sim card have a higher priority and are therefore shown in your adress book??? I guess I had the same issue with an earlier froyo...

Maybe you set your phone that only google/local contacts are shown and/or delete the sim contacts??
