Very strange problem with HTC_IME keyboard

using modaco custom 2.1 r4, i cannot add the word 'if' to the dictionary. at all, and I've tried god knows how many times, I can add words to it, just for some reason not this particular one, it makes quick texting a bit of chore!

The HTC_IME mod always forgets all saved words when it is closed. This bug affects everyone, and as far as I know, no solution has been found.

Hmm, not sure about that. It's included as standard in mine.

'if' works in mine but, as others have found, the HTC_IME (v27) doesn't remember user dictionary entries. is it affecting everyone? i got the impression it works for most people.
