Guest Invisible Elf Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Hello I'm using the latest modaco sense ROM, and tried installing droid explorer. I chose the standard installation settings, with android SDK included. However when I connect the Desire, it won't show up in droid explorer. I have tried with and without USB-debugging, and with and without mounting phone as a harddisk, and in recovery. What have I done wrong? Is there anything else I need to install?
Guest bpivk Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 You need to install drivers for USB. It should be located in android SDK folder under usb-driver.
Guest Invisible Elf Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Thanks, I did find a folder called USBdrivers, it's not in the SDK folder but directly in the Droid Explorer folder. These USB-drivers are non-executable though (.cat and .dll files). I tried to install those drivers through device management in windows, but it wouldn't recognize them as drivers... Any idea how to install them or if I did something wrong?
Guest bpivk Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 I suggest that you install android sdk and get the drivers from there.
