Guest mrbill1234 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Is there a keyboard for the 2.1 blade which doesn't suck? I'm finding that the default android one I can't seem to get my fat fingers to work on properly. I have used the keyboard on the ipod touch and I find this much better. Is there an equivalent for 2.1 Android Blade? What is this TouchPal all about?
Guest ricer Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 I find the keyboard on the ipod touch better as well. I dunno if its because its slightly wider so theres more room or its just better made. I did download a ROM that had a different keyobard from the default and that was better but wasn't as good as I hoped.

Guest Rem1x Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Touchpal(cootek t+ mode, with slide down symbols, version from the market), Swiftkey and Swype (and wifikeyboard) are my favorites :)
Guest ShakeyB Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Touchpal is good, just touch and hold in a text box until you see the menu and change "input method". I also found the stock keyboard not as good as my old ipod touch, but I think this has a lot to do with the narrower screen (by about 4mm irc) which makes a big difference... also try the HTC keyboard, and if you're willing to try something new, give Swype a go too! It's what I'm using and finally back to my old typing speed :)
Guest mrbill1234 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Thanks all for the swift replies - i'll give Swype and TouchPal a go!

Guest That-Guy Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 what? thumb keyboard is made by different company. thumb keyboard That actually looks quite good, anyone else running Thumb Keyboard?
Guest geegeethatsme Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 ShapeWriter does it for me. Some kind forum member posted this link a while back where you can get the .apk file. ShapeWriter link Otherwise, register for Swype. They've just released the latest Beta to previous registrants so I'm roadtesting against ShapeWriter. First impressions are that ShapeWriter has the edge.
