Guest paper doll Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 I've had this phone for a week and have unlocked it and installed a few programs and now it's stuck on the screen unlock pattern as the touchscreen is totally unresponsive although the buttons work okay. There is also an exclamation mark in the top left hand corner in a triangle. I have taken the battery out and put it back in several times but it is still the same and have taken the micro SD card out as well but it makes no difference. Is there any combinations of buttons that would reset it? I don't want to replace the phone really as it is the OLED one and the screen protector has only just settled down and the bubbles disappeared. Thanks.

Guest paper doll Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 The phone has been replaced by another one, which has a dodgy power button (well even more dodgy than the rest) and won't power up so another one tomorrow, thankfully this will be the last one and I can get another model when this one breaks, otherwise I'll be getting a new phone every couple of days.
Guest razzor1711 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 those phones are such bad quality :)

Guest rjm2k Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 can you tell me how to use fastboot with cleaning all the data stuff :)? If you have clockwork then boot into it and select the various wipe options, otherwise search the forum for installing USB drivers and then use fastboot erase data etc

Your not called theo thopelopodus(sp) are you :-P Out of my price range I'm afraid, looking at something more like the Huawei Ideos, but will have to get an Orange phone and they don't have an equivalent at that price.

May I ask did your replacement phone come from an orange store or did you have to post your handset out and await a new one? I bought mine from the telesales number and am hoping to get a replacement in store if I can't fix my screen myself.

Bought online and someone comes out and delivers the new one and takes the old one, imagine telesales is the same. Edited December 16, 2010 by paper doll

Thanks, had my 1 week old TFT with a dead screen picked up today and replaced with a fully functional OLED handset! Wasn't expecting that but the screen looks great, and now I can get some custom ROM action on the go.
