Guest xaueious Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 (edited) szym.net: ad-hoc wpa_supplicant for Android caveat is that it only works in wep and open modes Someone figured it out. Good luck with it Precompiled for wpasupplicant v0.5.x: (probably Eclair, stock Froyo) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754961 Precompiled for wpasupplicant v0.6.x: (CM Froyo?) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...mp;postcount=24 Install: adb push wpa_supplicant /system/bin/ Check version: adb shell wpa_supplicant -v ** untested by me. but some variant of this will work for Liquid ** Edited December 13, 2010 by xaueious

Guest G_Technik Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 There is 1 negative result with wpasupplicant v0.6.x: Froyo at 4pda.ru. WiFi doesn't start.
Guest xaueious Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 (edited) I put test because I haven't tested it myself! Probably wasn't clear enough! Sorry I didn't test this on my phone yet and was hoping that someone would try this. Edit: just ran wpa_supplicant -v on my LCR-F. It is running 0.5.11. That's why the 0.6 wont work. Use the 0.5.x one? or we will have to recompile it specially for our liquid Edited December 13, 2010 by xaueious
