Baseband question

If I use acer tool to flash the 4.002.08_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05 bin onto my Acer Liquid E that I use on rogers. Will it change the "baseband" or something so that the phone doesn't work as well on the network? I read that EMEA stands for Europe Middle East and Africa.

I need to flash the bin so I can try and use the rogers update.

No. It'll just update it to the newest version. Flash 4.002.14 though.
