Guest grimoald Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 My device just gets stuck at the modaco logo boot screen and wont go any further. Is there something I need to further do, please help! Edit- Fixed this now sorry. I panicked :) Can't find a topic delete button so if a moderator would be so kind and do the honors. I'm actually stuck here myself now, can I ask what you might have done to fix it?
Guest thomas01155 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Have you tried waiting a few mins on the first boot?
Guest greds Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 same question I am stuck on that screen as well while rebooting after flashing the froyo rom
Guest thomas01155 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Did you wipe before install?
Guest grimoald Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Have you tried waiting a few mins on the first boot? I left it for a fair old while (more than a few minutes). Is there a way of wiping and starting again?
Guest grimoald Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Did you wipe before install? No, that is probably it. What should I select in recovery mode, 'Wipe data/factory reset' or 'Wipe Cache Partition'?
Guest thomas01155 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) No, that is probably it. What should I select in recovery mode, 'Wipe data/factory reset' or 'Wipe Cache Partition'? Do both :) you will lose everything on the phone. Edited December 14, 2010 by thomas01155
Guest greds Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 did you just take the battery out? I am still on the modaco page lol..
Guest Tiddy_ Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Haven't really got any proper fixes as I just panicked at the time and did what I thought would help. You could try these things though because these are what I did. -Remove the SD card, and give it a reboot and see if that helps it boot up -Wipe data in the clockwork mod screen and reboot -Reboot the device if you've been waiting 10 mins or longer.
Guest greds Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 btw I didnt wipe neither Are the steps: 1.)install rom 2.)Wipe 3.)Reboot as I understand from the guide?? If I take the battery out now and wipe, would I need to install the rom again?? Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot I wiped both, reinstalled the rom, rebooted, waited with baited breath (for what seemed like ages) and it is done. Yay. Good luck.

It says to wipe on the thread >.< yeh somehow I imagined that I only need to wipe if I am changing from one custom rom to another... last question, taking battery out the only way to reboot now? Thanks for the help
Guest Tiddy_ Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Safe method people could do: -Backup data in clockwork to SD card -Wipe data -Install your choice of ROM -Reboot and give it a few minutes And yes take the battery out if your stuck in a boot loop, because you can't turn it off otherwise. Here's a link to the guide I used. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...ry-instalation/ Not worded very well but if you read it a couple of time through you can easily get the jist of it. I only used this method because the other methods involving command lines wouldn't work for me. Hope this helps anyone. Edited December 14, 2010 by Tiddy_
