Guest xaueious Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Bug has been fixed: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606194 Temporary test build here: http://people.mozilla.com/~mwu/fennec-4.0b...US.eabi-arm.apk The team does not have Acer Liquids. As such please test this build and ensure that it works so we can have a working Firefox for our Acer Liquid. Go there report your ROM version. Not sure how many more test cases they need. Probably do not need duplicate tests. Append: This seems to not work on Acer Liquid, but only Acer Liquid E. Report any helpful information if you want to see Firefox on your device. I know mine works already. Edited December 14, 2010 by xaueious

Guest DasTisu Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 So far flawless on my Liquid E LCR-f 1.1.2. Anything you would like me to test?
Guest tc4101 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 orignal 256mg version with 4.002.14 rom .. all i get is stuck on white screen when i open and crashes my phone
Guest vanisleguy1976 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Seemed stable for me, but it was painfully slow compared to stock browser or Opera. Also doesn't seem to support flash.
Guest willyaranda Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 @all people there was a problem with the library map with Acer Liquid (E too) because the map is not standard. This means that maybe Liquid were not able to open Firefox. It's just a beta, It needs more fixes and iterations. Yes, we know it's painfully slow to start and some things are not working. Anyway, the JS speed is faster than stock browser. It has addons, Firefox Sync, HTML5 with more compliance than stock browser… We just want if that patch made that Firefox works with Liquid, so when posting, please, post: - Your version of Liquid (just Liquid or Liquid E) - Your baseband rom (Froyo, Eclair…) - Your actual rom (LCR, Xianogen, Roggin)… Thank you guys!
Guest xaueious Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Well it looks like everyone with the 256MB Liquid can't load it. We would probably need a logcat to see what's up? I tested Firefox for browsing over half an hour. It did seem to want to gobble up a lot of RAM, and wouldn't stay in memory whenever I wanted to switch apps. I'm pretty sure this is fine on all Liquid E stock builds from the looks of it? Edited December 14, 2010 by xaueious
Guest parvata Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 i have installed it on my liquid E running LCR F and it worked ok. Could not watch youtube videos. I think fennec has a long way to go. Dolphin browser seems to be the best so far. The other browsers that I tried are Opera and Skyfire. Both are OK.
Guest xaueious Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Look guys, if you ever want Firefox to improve, CONTRIBUTE and report in the bug thread
