Hi Guys:

I am just about to receive my Advent Vega (ordered Sat 11th Dec - shipped Monday 13th - not bad eh?)

Froyo is supposed to support Mail For Exchange; viz:-

Enhanced Microsoft Exchange Functions — Key native features required by many enterprises debut in Froyo, including remote wipe capability, improved security and passwords, Exchange calendars and Global Address Lists.

Can anyone here confirm this?

I know that the Samsung Galaxy Tab does & it works fine.

Cheers

Paul

The only issue I have is that in the Sent Items folder it is the senders name ie Me that shows and not the recipients name.

Are you running the Modaco Custom ROM or a Vega with stock ROM?

I am running MCR /r4 - and I cannot connect to my Exchange server :)

(Never tried it with the stock ROM.)

Thanks

Are you using activesync? I am using the stock email application and its working fine using activesync and my companys corporate webmail interface - i had problems with apps downloaded from the market though.

Me also - i think support for MFE is maybe a default feature of Froyo, 'cos I have just setup a Samsung Galaxy Tab - all settings being the same as my Advent Vega - and all worked 100%

Thanks for the answers guys

I am using the stock mail client to connect to a Hosted Exchange Server. Everything works fine (Calendar, Contacts, Mail ) other than the sent items folder not showing the recipient. Only a small issue but very frustrating.

I use the same setup on my HTC Desire and do not have the same problem
