Whats the possibility of improving video recording quality?

Have done a search and this turned up nothing, so apologies if already asked.

Anyway, just out of interest, i was wondering just how difficult it would be to improve the quality of the videos recorded by the blade? I have no idea what would be involved in doing this, but if there's one thing thats seriously lacking in the blade its this. It's about the only thing that makes me feel like ditching it and getting a different device. I mean, it's still an excellent value device as it is but it wouldn't need to be boat loads better. I like to take the occasional vid of my kids and stuff, even the framerate is fine for my needs, but an improvement in qualty would be nice.

Anyone else feeling this or is it just me?

Nope, I'm feelin' dat too! In fact, I was googling specifically for that, when I found this post.

i felt the same when i first got this phone. i nearly got the sony ericsson x8 because the video would have been better. but i didnt.

what i have found is, the 2.2 custom rom improves the quality a bit and gives you vga recording on the default camcorder app.

it is enough for me. i havent tried the 2.3 rom because the 2.2 is working really well.

i am not sure how much better you are going to get. i have vga at just over 12fps. it is a bit wobbly at times but its alot better than the 2.1.

if you havent upgraded yet them maybe the 2.2 jj9 or the flb might help. if you have upgraded all ready then i would say you might need to look at something else.
