Boot Logs or Ramconsole

Hi,

Any one tell me how to get kernel boot logs or access to ramconsole or any kind of logging on the blade. Im attempting to create a cm6 build and am having issues booting the kernel, after flashing update.zip with the .32 kernel from the modaco froyo alpha 3 build it does not boot. sticks at green guy with back button lit red.

ADB does not work at this point.

Ported a few roms to HD2 and it was very easy to get the kernel dmesg and panics from ramconsole via whatever bootloader we used, but on a real Android device this info escapes me so far.. ClockworkMod seems not to provide logs like this that i can find. Info appreciated.

Hi Cass67, you might wanna speak to Tom_G on here as he had a CM6 port that booted, but didn't do much else, so you two might be able to pool your efforts.

last_kmsg comes to mind. dunno more about it, but i think it's what you are looking for.

And, if you into extreme solutions, he's also got RS232 working!

Thanks but it appears that last_kmsg keeps the logs from the current boot and not the one thats failing for me before i boot back into recovery mode.

Heh, yeah i do like the look of that.. but id prefer to seek a software solution before all of that stuff :)

Thanks, hopefully he will see this thread at some point and chime in .. Do you know if this build was posted anywhere ? cant see it in the other thread it was discussed in. Or anywhere else here, only one i can see is for pulse.

He only posted it for something to mess with on the blade IRC Channel. It's #zteblade on freenode if you wanna try and catch him in there.
