Laucher pro settings (and and a couple of other issues)

Firstly received my vega yesterday and tried to fit a screen protector carefully. I measured up the hole for the camera and hole punched it perfectly. When i came to fit it I messed it up, a spot of something got on it so ill have to buy another because its too glossy.

Anyway, I'm not new to android as I have a desire (Pauls custom rom) and love it. I've never used Launcher pro and now i know i need to to customise the home screens. I've noticed people have mentioned columns and rows and have no idea how to adjust this setting. The only to settings fgor launcher pro i have seen is when you press home and select launcher pro home the screen turns vertically only and has three screens. Also when you touch the wallpaper it gives you an option to select launcher pro widgets and thats it.

So i guess what i'd like to know is how can you mess with launcher pro to the home screens how you want and horizontal please. Do i need folder organizer ?

Also noticed when install apps from sd card, the bottom of the vertical screen goes blurry for a second or two but seems ok after.

I also have noticed a white mark to the middle left under my screen which can be seen clearly under the screen when it is off . When it is on it cannot be seen, it looks like a small white bit of hair. Should I be worried about this as it doesn't effect the functionality?

So can somebody please give me a little lesson on launcer pro and how to get around it as all the guides on line say go to settings / preferences and their isn't a preferences on this menu. Really appreciate any help as I would like to get my screens like the great ones showing on the desktops page (http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-vega-vega-modaco-com/324700/post-your-vega-desktops/).

When Launcher Pro is your default home app there should be an additional "Preferences" menu item that has all the settings for home screens, rows, columns etc.

Thanks Haze , does it allow you to have it horizontal permanetly as oppose to vertical then ?

Also , how would you get it back to the original launcher or at least the choice again ?

If you get 'Home Switcher' from the market place (It mentions using this in the Launcher Pro advert), You can clear the 'defaults' anytime and rechoose which home screen to use.

One question I have, is that as awesome as Launcher Pro is, swiping between home screens and transitioning to the App Drawer isn't quite as smooth as the default launcher.. I assume this is the same for everyone??

I know the author is re-writing it for early 2011 to improve performance, but it's kind of making me stick with the default launcher at the moment.

One question I have, is that as awesome as Launcher Pro is, swiping between home screens and transitioning to the App Drawer isn't quite as smooth as the default launcher.. I assume this is the same for everyone??

I think it's the live wallpapers.. Using a static one, and upping the transition speeds has worked wonders..!! :)

Now, about static wallpapers, they look 'zoomed' in and all Low res and artefact'y.. Plus some don't fill the entire screen.. Am I missing any settings? Or is it just a large screen foible with LP?

I also have a Launcher Pro question. I bought the app, and installed the Facebook widget, but it takes up the whole of one homescreen, and for the life of me I can neither remove it or resize it. Any ideas?

It may just be because it was set up better when I first installed it did take a good bit of tweaking to get it just right. I also haven't noticed the wallpaper issue but I've only used one static wallpaper with it the.

I am pretty sure you can set it landscape only but I haven't tried it as one of the main reasons I use it is that it does portrait mode and hides the notification bar well.

I cant seem to find the launcher pro settings I have installed Launcher pro plus 8.1.1 any more advice would be much appreciated I have looked in Applications in settings to no avail

Hit the menu button then select preferences, settings takes you to the android settings. Also there are some good updates in 8.2 I would reccomend updating.

Cheers mate updated now, any idea whether I can change the orientation of the dock from vertical to horizontal when in landscape mode
