Guest Rem1x Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Jump to http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...s/#entry1517520 for a nice high res PNG of the logo! It'd be nice to have wallpapers(computer and phone), bootscreens and the ilk, with the logo. Get creative, people :) Edited December 18, 2010 by Rem1x
Guest HMZX Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Working on a high res version of the ZTE Blade logo. Here is a little preview, with a sized up version of the logo I'm working from :) We can use this for wallpapers, boot screens, stuff like that :) great stuff rem1x will definitely brighten up booting!
Guest ricer Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Nice work! You wouldn't have a vector version would you?
Guest HMZX Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Nice work! You wouldn't have a vector version would you? can i ask why would you want a vector version?
Guest Rem1x Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Nice work! You wouldn't have a vector version would you? Saving the paths would have been clever. I'll vectorize it when I'm done :) It's 1692x480 at the moment so a decent size!
Guest AceOfSpades Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I REALLY wish it had that above the screen than 'san francisco' It looks so awesome! What would be really awesome would be to have a bootscreen animation which 'slices' this logo into the screen.
Guest k0nrad Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) Oh man, no offence, but it's... kinda ugly. Not saying about the source logo even (kind of tacky though, IMHO) - your tracing kind of sucks. At least try to keep lines in 'Blade' lettering parallel, 'cause now they're off in a bad way. Same goes for rounded parts, which aren't smooth at all. I'd also consider modifying the source logo and: - drop the hyphen, which makes no sense - stick to the original ZTE lettering - yours is too squished vertically. Once again - no offence. But you mean yourself a designer, so I'm blunt with you. EDIT: Damn, if I wasn't: 1. sick 2. way behind schedule with my college stuff, I'd do it myself, even if I don't dig the source logo. Guest Azurren Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 I honestly think it's awesome :)

Thanks for the critique :) These were all changes I was going to make, this was a rough first draft, just getting the shapes in place. I'm going to clean them up. The picture I'm working from is 200ish pixels wide, so it's kinda hard to get stuff spot on!
Guest Arr Too Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 These were all changes I was going to make, this was a rough first draft, just getting the shapes in place. It's definitely a great starting point. I'd echo the suggestion to make the curves smooth and the lines parallel. Try to fit the letters together evenly, too. And as few different angles as possible. Although the original is far from perfect, so you're up against it!
Guest Rem1x Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Working form this, by the way, heh.
Guest factro Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Working form this, by the way, heh. Good work...:)

Guest Rem1x Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) Just a quick cutout, and not vectorised i'm afraid, but if anyone wants to play with it... (PNG with transparent background) Sweet. Edited December 15, 2010 by Rem1x
Guest Rem1x Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) Just a quick boot screen idea. Edited December 15, 2010 by Rem1x
Guest Arr Too Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Cool! Quick and nasty online conversion to SVG, EPS and PDF vector formats attached.blade.zip

Guest jtc42 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Just a quick boot screen idea. I actually love these! Can you upload them in higher res PNGs? Just thinking is there any way you can do 24 frames worth of changing glow-intensity so we can work on a boot screen. If you did 24 different brightnesses we can arrange them however we want and it would make a SERIOUSLY nice bootscreen. Yes, I may be getting a BIT over excited by these but it's an epic logo and it glows, which in my mind = win :)

Guest jtc42 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Animation preview :) :) ... Never before has a GIF animation made me so happy haha. Any chance of zipping and sharing the seperate frames as PNG files? Im new to this so I dont know how they generally work but on Pauls MoDaCo Froyo ROM I think the boot animation is in a bootanimation.zip file containing individual frame files.
