Guest cmberry20 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 All of a sudden my Market has stopped working - it keeps crashing everytime i try to open it. I've tried a restore from Titanium Backup but it still crashes. Has anyone got the latest APK of the lastest client update for market - i think a re-install will probably fix it. (I hope) Cheers.

First post here Found it easily with search - you could have done that Hope that sorts your market out - oddly, after switching to another rom last night I tried to revert to this upgraded market but couldn't get it to install (on mcr alpha 4, having had it working on alpha 3) Edited December 15, 2010 by The Soup Thief
Guest cmberry20 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 cheers for that. I did a search but must have missed that. I did find the New Market update that flib posted the other week. But that requires messing around & i couldnt get the apk to install via Filer. I'll give this a go. Thanks again.

I just had another little looky - the last post in that same thread gives a link to an update of the app after a number of people were finding that other one no longer worked - this is hosted on Rapidshare and mediafire which I can't access from here, but hopefully a download from one of these should work for you
Guest cmberry20 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Right, update. It seems that an app is causing the issue & even reinstalling the market didnt help. Luckily, I made a full backup last week & have restored the phone. So the market worked ok again. However, i then let the phone update all the apps that needed updating, & the Market crashed again. I'm in the process of re-restoring & i'm going to weed out the app that may be causing the issue.
Guest cartierv Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Market is crashy. Especially when flicking around between apps. I thought deleting its cache seemed to help some.
Guest cmberry20 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 well theres crashy & theres broken. Mine was broken, it had passed on, it was no more. It has ceased to be! It had expired and gone to meet its maker! It was a stiff! Bereft of life & rested in peace! Its metabolic processes were history! It had kicked the bucket, shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! IT WAS AN EX-MARKET!! basically, it didnt work!
Guest cmberry20 Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 WTF!!!! Its FUBARed again. Somethings not right here. It was workig earlier today. All i've done is remove an app via Uninstaller.
Guest rayraven Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 I'm having problems with the new market as well. Keeps force closing. Looks like you've got the OTA update again, which basically broke it.
Guest Acathla- Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 I was on stock orange and got the OTA market update. Continually got force closes so decided it was time to flash Paul's Froyo alpha4 so did. No idea why an OTA market update could cause so many force closes though - was something about missing resources in the logcat. odd.
Guest cmberry20 Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 right, got it going again. I removed all the Market updates on the phone & also uninstalled rock player which i installed earlier & its sprung back into life again!!
