Hello,

I have little problem. FM radio app start play, but after few seconds it stop. If I turn it on/off with software key, it start works again for say three second and again stop. Any idea? I have froyo, in 2.1 works fine. Thanks for help

I think this is a known issue in froyo, it's one of the reasons (besides all the others :)) that prevent me from updating to 2.2

This is a known bug, but it sure would be nice to have it working. For some reason the app for streaming swedish radio isn't working on FroYo either (don't know if it was working on 2.1). There are some workarounds, if you play music with the mp3player the radio works, so you could make a silent mp3file and play it, not that convenient though.

I also noticed that if you type numbers in the dialer the radio works again for a few seconds. Seems like something is "muting" the radio.

FM radio problem is easily remedied on the Froyo ROMs by starting an MP3 playing in the background before switching on the radio - when there's something else actively playing Froyo's cleanup seems not to shut down the FM radio program for some reason beyond my understanding

Smartest idea to work around this then is to play a silent MP3, so you can hear the radio you want to listen to

There's an mp3 of 60 minutes of silence at Burninwave.com

Save this to your SD, then anytime you wanna listen to the radio you can this playing then start your FM radio up and it will play for an hour - or play the silence on repeat and you can listen to the radio for - well, you get the idea

This can be a bit of a faff, getting the two things going just to listen to a bit of radio, so it's worth getting Tasker from the Android Market (excellent app, likely to revolutionise your phone use if you can put the effort in to learning to work it)

Tasker gives you a way of sheduling phone tasks to start when something else happens (eg my phone goes silent 8.30-11am on thursdays during team meetings; goes silent during appointments with clients; turns on wifi when I get home etc)

I've set up Tasker so that when I plug in my headphones it starts playing the MP3 of silence and also switches on the FM radio so I don't need to go fiddling

All good - no longer bothered by the radio / froyo problem :)

Johny13, which version of the FM radio app are you using? It turns out there are two! See my posts here...

I have idea. Is chance change properities of app? Is dont know exact name, but mean access whot you must confirm when you install app.
