sms problem

Hi. Just over the last few days my SF has been naughty. When I reply to a text..I have to double check the recipients name at the top..as it substitutes the contact with another name and sends it to them instead! Has it gone crazy on me? > :) <

I've been having the exact same problem for a short while now. I've reflashed the phone a good few times now but still the problem persists.

I've done the factory reset/clear cache in clockwork mod each time before reflashing.

I'm using the sebastian r5 rom.

Would a completely new fresh install of clockwork mod etc help?

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Re-installing clockwork won't help

All I can suggest is trying an alternative messaging app from the market.. There are some really good ones out there :)

The problem originally started when i did install one of the alternatives from the market, it force closed the sms app and has continued to do the same on the native sms app:(

Have you had the same problem and resolved by switching to an alternative app?

Hi Revs..haven't tried another app yet..i pulled the battery whilst it was on and it stopped for a while. Recurs though..so I still have to be careful :)

(using the standard orange rom)
