Browser Issue

hi guys, i dont know if anyone else has this problem but my SF will always display the mobile version of a site even when the user agent is set to desktop...

it seems to do it in all browsers and i cant find a solution. I am running modaco rom r4 with a2sd enabled.

Any ideas?

It's probably the fault of the site. Maybe based on screen resolution?

I think the post above will cure your problem.

After reading another post in the forum yesterday I downloaded the new Dolphin Mini Beta browser from the market and once I set it to desktop it seems to view all sites in that mode.

Also,I think it's the fastest and best browser I've used so far.

I have a problem with most sites that has a mobile version, e.g. engadget.com

And

I have tried the stock browser, Dolphin HD, Dolphin Mini, and Skyfire

Exactly the same on each one.

Gosh I much prefer the mobile versions, but I wonder if websites can override this anyway ? By default I don't think Yahoo or Google load the mobile version for me even when I picked mobile on the stock rom, so I bookmarked these. Actually Yahoo's 'mobile' version is pretty much the same as the regular one. Probably the regular one loads faster.
