They are almost the same.

318 => retail version

319 => O2 customized version

I update from stock O2 2.1 to 2.2 318 and didnt face any problem with screenlock issue. Have u try to do a reset?

And also try to do a screen calibration on the recovery (volume up and down while reboot), obtion #3 I think. It fixed my lock slider problem (at least, fixed for me).

I am not sure. But I think they are the same.

Only some UI(languages, MMS delivery reports, ...) / baseband settings are different.
