Guest Arr Too Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Speakerphone quality twice in the second list? And no screen quality? No GPS/compass feature? (Those are the main reasons I bought one!)

Guest Arr Too Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 kallt_kaffe seems to have fixed the wifi issue (for my setup, at least), so about the only thing I'd be pleased to fix now is the battery life.
Guest shadowninty Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 I hate the fact that I still dont have one

Strangely WiFi is already fixed for me with kallt_kaffe's rom v2+a patch from another rom. But yes battery drains like anything. At the same time I've seen ppl getting very good battery life. I wonder if it has to do something with hardware ui. Will try to dig deeper this weekend. BTW hardware ui ROCKS for me. With non hardware ui, there was always a slight jerk in the beginning of animations, with hardware UI its totally smooth! Although only selective scroll lists lags (like the widget selection list) but the rest of the anims are buttery smooth.
Guest duncw Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 The thing that annoys me the most is the fact it turns itself off occasionally for no apparent reason! I can live with the other niggles although I will be upgrading to 2.2 froyo soon because Angry Birds seasons is getting a bit slow and I understand the JIT compiler will sort this out?
Guest cartierv Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) The things I like best about the OSF: Screen is fantastic. And really impresses out the box Price It seems to have decent RAM You can access the battery easily (One of iPhone's gripes of course) Not so good: The case and design are hideously ugly and a perfect example of tacky consumer electronics. Feels like ..I dunno a JVC or Sony VCR in your hand. But if you put it a cover/case it looks a lot better I could see ahead that would be essential trying to make it look nice. The hard buttons could be better. Camera is of course disappointing and the video even more so. It seems strange actually including cameras that can only record at ~12 frames per second or something and at 320 X 240. Although it's not that important for me to have a great camera on a phone, it is a shame it's not just a bit better. More though it's android I have some reservations about. The market, the stability issues that someone's mentioned. And generally needs a little bit more work across the board. And I hope that emphasis is put on performance rather than bloat Edited December 16, 2010 by cartierv

I charge mine TWICE daily... but I have to admit I kill it tweeting and emailing while commuting! Edited December 16, 2010 by flatnote31
Guest streather Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 i can't vote because i hate the battery life and its not an option
Guest Polythene Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 I dont have any real problems at all with it. Sure, the battery life may be an hour or so off other smart phones, but just take a USB cable to work/school if it bothers you that much! I cant believe people are away from a power socket for longer than 8 hours these days!
