Guest aleksb Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Hi Peeps, I am fairly new to the Android phones, just moved over after several years using iPhones. I have an HTC Desire, Orange Branded that I bought of eBay. So far I have done IMEI Unlock, rooted using Unrevoked 3.22 and set S-OFF using Alpharev 1.5. Rom Manager 2.5.1.2 is installed and I have ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7, should I upgrade to 2.5.1.4? Currently I have the stock Orange 2.2 ROM installed: Android Version: 2.2 Baseband Version: 32.48.00.32u_5.10.05.30 Build number: 2.17.61.2 CL245629 release-keys Software number: 2.17.61.2 HBOOT-0.93.0001 RADIO-5.10.05.30 I hope the above is enough information :) What I really wanted was to use the stock HTC Desire 2.2 ROM, is this possible? and if it is what one is the right one for me to use? And if that is not at all possible, what ROM is most like the stock HTC Desire 2.2 ROM? Any help with my questions would be greatly appreciated :) Regards, Aleks
Guest EddyOS Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 If you just want a stock, non rooted phone all you had to do was create a gold card and flash the 2.29.405.2 RUU There are custom ROMs based on 2.29.405.2, though. You can find them over on XDA

But as I am fairly new to Android I thought I would just stick with something fairly close to stock ROM to start with, and I do love the Sense interface. And I am still learning so I thought it best to ask just in case, would hate to brick my phone :) So would this be a good ROM to use? The 2.29.405.2 (v3) one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773997 Regards, Aleks
Guest EddyOS Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Yep, that's a good place to start
Guest aleksb Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Thanks, I flashed that ROM and it was exactly what I was after :) Regards, Aleks
