If you are trying to access it from your PC and copy data across then all you need to do is plug the phone in to a USB port and you should be then prompted with a message on the phone asking you if you want to mount the SD card - basically meaning virtually disconnect if from the phone and have it show up as a drive on your computer. After this you should see the drive under 'my computer' as you would see an inserted memory stick.
Guest yorksims Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 i am following this guide and am at stage 2 http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...and-other-roms/ what does it mean when it says let sd card mount? Do i just leave it in my handset? or take it out and put in my pc port? Every time you connect your phone to your computer it will ask you if you want to mount your sd card. If you choose to mount your card it will then be visible to your computer as a removable disc and you will be able to copy files to it. So to copy your new rom to your sd card choose the option to mount it then go to my computer\whichever drive is your card and copy the rom to it.
Guest cartierv Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Another question: What does 'unmount SD card' mean in settings ? Do you actually need to do this if switching the phone off and replacing the card ? Why doesn't it just unmount itself when you shut down ?
Guest theInquisitor Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) If you switch the phone off the SD is being unmounted. The "unmount" option is only there you hot-swap the SD card, i.e. exchanging it while the phone is switched on. Edited December 16, 2010 by theInquisitor
