Change MMS settings?

Is it posibble to do this for incoming messages? I cannot seem to get anything bigger than 300k so I can't get pics from my pals with iPhones etc. It's driving me nuts. I read about editing registry but I don't know how to do this on my phone and I don't even know if there is a registry on HTC phones!!
