Guest trevor432990 Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Apart from my Angry Birds game which installed onto the SD card all my other apps are still held in the Vega. Can someone give me tips on what the advantages of me moving my other apps to the SD and if there are any disadvantages of putting them there? Thanks in anticipation :)

Thanks in anticipation :) it saves your internel space, if you mean implamenting app2sd the darktremor method then your sd card will eventually give out, as it wll constantly access the sd. as i have found out, just now on my nexus one, it has gone hay wire because the ap2sd darktremor method has some how got corrupted.

Guest warriorscot Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Anything that doesn't get used regularly goes on my SD the stuff that sees daily use goes on the internal. Really its not going to make a huge difference.
Guest rferrett Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Why the bloody heckfire don't google let their non system apps run on SD card? On my Desire I am rapidly running out of space because all the google apps are too big and wont allow SD. FB

It's crazy - but HTC should have tried to squeeze some more memory into it to help a little!
Guest trevor432990 Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the inputs I think I shall move the apps over to SD card now and see how it goes :) UPDATE:- Oh dear things are never as easy as they seem are they. Turns out that apps have to be initially designed to run off an SD card and lots on the Market have yet to be converted to do so as this facility was just introduced in the Froyo 2.2 operating system. So when you go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and click on an app entry if the 'Move to SD Card' is grayed out it means that application has not been converted yet. Apparently many are being converted now so it is worth checking again following any automatic app updates to see if you can then move it afterward. Edited December 17, 2010 by trevor432990
