San Franisco startup routine question

Hi all

I recently rooted and flashed my SF a few weeks ago, though during the process my phone kept being stuck on the green andriod logo at restart - even after taking battery/putting it back in.

Anyway, i read a solution where as someone just reinstalled the original orange rom and suddenly it started working - so I gave it a go, and low and behold it worked.

But at startup It now takes a while to boot up - first the android logo is on screen - then the orange logo on screen for anytime between 5 and say 25 seconds then the Mocaco Logo on for the while, all in all a pretty long boot up time - is this normal?

As i was under the impression that after flashing/rooting the orange logo shouldn't come up at all.
