newie with a san fran

Hi- I have managed to unlock my San Francisco- and I have not registered the orange sim- but put my Giff Gaff sim in to use the internet.

It seems fine.

I now want to debrand. How risky is it to the phone as I definitely do not know what I am doing!

I hope you don't mind advising me- I have seen the instructions- should I just go for it?

As I have the tft screen- build number ends in 08- am I correct in thinking it wont work with my phone until it is all updated to this build?

Thanks for your response- I really want to try to debrand- and I think as long as have the clockwork recovery downloaded I will be ok.

A real newbie question- when it says download a file- is that on my mac and then move it to the phone, or do I download it using the phones internet?
