OTA update causing crashes

I had an OTA upadate to the system software two days ago on my orange desire. It is causing me a great deal of pain with the operating system re-booting (white HTC screen and then re-loading all the apps etc.). Any one else had this or any advice on how I can find out what has caused the problem.

nope... wouldn't even know where to start with that as I'm a complete novice with Android

Two possibilities... First is that the update requires 25MB of free space on the phone before it installs, but in my case it wasn't very clear about notifying me unless I was watching as it booted up. 2nd is that there is something odd going on with the first boot after installing and it comes up with a 'wait' dialogue. I left mine for at least 5 min and it was OK...

Failing that, more specific details needed :(

it completely installed. I had to to a reset and re-install all apps and it's ok now...
