Guest Dogeron Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Has anyone else had issues connecting their Vega to a WIFI Mesh? The Vega seems fine accessing a single AP but at work which uses multiple APs broadcasting the same SSID (to get the overlap and roaming abilities) it seems to get stuck in a scanning/connect/disconnect loop and never locks on the mesh. And we're talking Cisco Wireless hardware on the AP side here. Putting a WIFI tools on the system show that it the wireless card identifies each AP by MAC address but it is unable to lock on to a single AP or SSID. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the/in the android software or the wireless hardware. If I'm right this will be a big problem for the take up of the Vega or similarly spec'ed equipment in the corporate market. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Cheers, Dog
Guest warriorscot Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Haven't had that specific problem but have had similar general problems with the wireless on mines. It will occasionally decide to not see any wireless networks if there is even a slight change to the one its already connected to. For example in wireless tools everything shows up but the android scan for wireless shows nothing this has happened spontaneously and once when I changed the channel in the wireless. No idea for the cause even re-flashing the thing didn't change anything the first time it just seems to be overly fussy. Hopefully some adjustments to the OS will fix it in the future as that's the only explanation I have as the hardware is otherwise fine.
