Where can i buy an Advent Vega ?

Hi all,

the vega caught my eye as an affordable tegra tablet , comparable to my initial choice of archos 101.

Unfortunately, i went to dixons website but i cant seem to find the product.

I am from singapore btw, and i was intending to get a friend in UK to ship it back to me.

Where can i purchase the advent Vega ?

I thought the stickied topic with an almost identical name as this to be very helpful.

Might be easier for you to get one of the other versions like the Mobii or UX100 rather than the UK version.

So can i conclude that mobii or UX100 or VEGA , hardware wise , they are the same tablet. So all future custom firmwares should work ?

There seems to be a distributor for POV products in Singapore . woot !

It's a DSG product so they are the only people to sell them in the UK at their stores but as you saw its a case of getting them while they are in stock before they sell out.

Good news on finding a supplier in Singapore. From what others in the forum have posted the UX100 and POV Mobii both can take the vega firmware and Modaco rom without problem as the hardware designs are identical.

Apparently POV tablets are not out in the market yet .

A search around the internet reveals no pricing. Search on youtube reveals no unboxing video.

Also , i notice vega has a product ID.

Seems like some japanese brands are selling this tablet too.

P10AN01 looks like a private -label brand ?

Just wondering if anyone is interested to ship it over to singapore for a small profit as a token of appreciation or if anyone is coming over to SINGAPORE for holiday?

It is fine if i get the tablet after XMAS.

I'd say avoid the temptation to pay those ebay prices and give a big two finger salute to those sh#ts that buy in bulk the second things come in stock purely to re-sell on ebay at massively inflated prices... Same goes for concert tickets. :)

P10AN01 is the reference design they are all based on. Some people have Mobii tablets already it might just be that they haven't reached your market yet they are selling in Europe as far as I know. Australia also has a version called the epad. The way it seems to be working is one company per market zone or country bought the design and are selling them. Its why you will probably see a P10AN01 in singapore soon but it would probably be called something other than a Vega as thats an advent brand name for the P10AN01 device. All the different names are selling the same P10AN01 device they have identical hardware with the exception of the external appearance may vary slightly.

Also getting them in the UK is difficult. Wouldn't it be easier just to order one from closer to you like a UX100 from Korea or an epad from Australia. Even tracking down a Mobii in Europe might be less work given UK supply issues at the moment. If you can order a P10AN01 from Japan just get it as long as you are sure its a P10AN01 and the specs match up you can load the Advent firmware on it if you want.

There are also companies that can ship things outside the UK for you as a service rather than trying to get someone to buy it for you its often easier to buy it yourself and have one of these companies ship it to you.
