Guest That-Guy Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 OK sounds stupid, but I installed VM Heap Tool after reading about it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803470 Was told to change that value to 32 and now the device seems to run a little more smoothly, the stupid thing is I don't really know what it does. Can someone please explain in simpleton terms what it does? what are the pros/cons to changing the value? Thanks in Advance :)
Guest rayraven Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Cmon, is a search that hard? The answer's in the forums, so yeah try searching :)
Guest Arr Too Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) It heaps the VM to 32. If your VM is only piled up to about 24 then it's less optimally stacked than if you managed it up to 32. But don't get carried away and try a tower of 64 heapiness! I had mine pushed up to 38 and it messed up video for me (turned it monochrome)
Guest Acathla- Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 I think on a really basic level it defines the amount of memory available to each program 'heap'
