What 3G PAYG service would you recommend in the UK?

Hi!

I'll be spending the upcoming week in the UK doing some christmas shopping and I'm going to buy a PAYG SIM to avoid the outrageous roaming fees that my carrier will slap me with if I use my own SIM.

So my question is quite straight forward: What PAYG service would you recommend?

1. I'll be situated in central London so best possible coverage for that area.

2. I'm almost exclusively interested in using data traffic (checking and sending mail, using maps, perhaps using some shopping apps, etc.)

All and any help is, of course, greatly appreciated :)
