I just wanted to know if anyone here had bad experiences with Acer tech service. A couple of days ago I had to send my Liquid because it was constantly turning itself off for no aparen reason, so I wanted to know if they're ok most times or if it's easy to have problems with them.

Thanks a lot.

I sent my laptop in once, took them a while to fix it, no speedy service.

Good luck!

Had the exact same problem with my Acer Liquid E Ferrari Edition, i even started a topic here about it.

My problem was that the phone would turn off automatically while calling, well, 90% of times during calls. I would press the all button and BAM switch off, and the problem grew more and more prominent.

And about your question as to what to expect? You can expect to run through a few hoops, and service guy wont do anything until you return it back 3 times like i did. Its been 15 days now since i first gave my phone to Acer Service Center, and only yesterday after lots of arguing with the technical assistant, + mails to acer, did they finally acknowledge that my Acer is indeed defective and the motherboard needs to be replaced, which will, and this is the part i love, take around a month to replace.

But i am not done yet, i demanded that my defective product be replaced as how i am supposed to work without my mobile for a month, i even threatened to file a complaint with the consumer protection council today. Will keep you updated when they reply to my mail.

But you can expect a similar problem with your Liquid. I trust you did some troubleshooting steps yourself, like removing the SD card, installing 2.2 again and such. If this didn't solve the problem then my moneys on a defective product. OFC they won't listen to you until they prove it themselves so you might have to get a bit aggressive here.

PM me for any more questions you got related to my issue.

Cheers!!!

It's not all that bad..

Once my AOA-110 battery died 2 days before warranty ended, they replaced it no question asked (altough had to come back after a few days due to no stock on hand)

Another instance, my LCD monitor died on me a few days after warranty, they still honored the warranty and replaced the power board for free (again took sometime -about 2 weeks if I'm not mistaken)

I think it boils down to the person attending to you or even the person in charge at the location.
