Guest rockgeek Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Pulling what little hair I have left out I am on Windows 2003. I have got a ZTE Blade using the Modaco custom ROM I downloaded Google SDK and associated drivers. I have also downloaded other drivers (from ZTE site). I have tried all various drivers. However when I go to command prompt and try and sequence of these commands (within C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\tools) adb root adb usb adb kill-server adb-start-server I either get nothing listed or something listed but it says it's offline. USB debugging is ON. I mount the SD card when prompted. I've tried various USB ports. Any clues? My Windows 2003 install is on a Mac Mini - could this be a reason whatsoever? Thanks
Guest Arr Too Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Probably also depends on the specific ROM you're running. But Windows is more than a bit rubbish at handling USB -- it'll happily mess up your system with unknown devices all over the place. Trying a different USB port can help, but if you don't get the right driver (matched to what your ROM advertises the connection as) then you may run out of ports, and then you'll need some low level tinkering with Windows to delete the rubbish. How about trying ADBWireless (on the Market)?
