Guest MSF64 Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) Hello everyone! I am a proud owner of a i900 mobile phone. The phone has never experienced a major issue, until now. I switched the sim cards (note; both have the same service provider) a week ago, and since then, the phone progressively got laggy and kept crashing all the time. At this moment, the phone, as a device, cannot start up normally. When it finally starts up, the phone mode keeps turning on and off all the time and it is extremely slow, until the time the phone hangs for good... I tried everything I know to deal with this issue; I flashed it using several (unofficial) roms, I made it hard-reset both memories, internal and external, but no luck at all. What should I do to fix this issue? Thank you in advance.. :) P.S.; I thought about giving the official rom release a chance but sadly, I remember that I could not bypass the "Incorrect Version" thing, despite the fact that I did the Preconfiguration trick several times. If anyone knows how to bypass this, I would appreciate it, if he would let me know how to do that. Just for the record, the phone came to me with the BDHI2 version inside. Hello MSF64, Have you made several attempts have tried to update your phone.bin? Cheers. ;) mureta. Edited December 19, 2010 by mureta
Guest MSF64 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) Yeap, and the Grand Prix application failed to do that, luckily, without bricking my phone for good. I used a Windows XP based pc. I tried to do this using Win7, but GP could not detect the phone... I've tried steff195's, ock's and Nick's phone.bin part so far. In addition, I successfully flashed the official version, but the symptoms remain... Despite the fact that I had the phone flashed several times, the phone operation still turns on and off all the time... :) Edited December 19, 2010 by MSF64

To recognize the GrandPrix, you have to disable USB in activesync and make the procedures for new rom or upgrade your phone.bin. You've taken a look at the settings of the battery? mureta.
Guest MSF64 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 You've taken a look at the settings of the battery? How can I do that? Also, I disabled the USB Connection in Activesync, as you said to me and I am "glad" to tell you that we are making progress! The phone starts up much faster than yesterday, but hangs instantly when I am using the phone. I think that a hardware failure may be the problem. What the heck, I flashed it sooooo many times.... :)
Guest MSF64 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 I notice that the phone hangs, when it's trying to determine if the SIM card is inserted or not. When it realizes that the card is missing (I can tell that via watching the network icon), it stops responding!
Guest andrew.mazlim Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Why don't you try to flash it via XPs? I kept the XPs (in different partition), just for fun (games) and WinMo apps-flashing...

As I said before I've been searching but found nothing about. Unfortunately I'll be in debt to you, before that, since all such attempts have been made and it did not, perhaps your machine. I also have a partition with XP, but use Win7 + GrandPrix and I have no problem. This is brother. mureta. Edited December 21, 2010 by mureta
Guest MSF64 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) I decided to send it to Santa's service center. I hope the elfs can do some magic for me. Thank you all for your time and your patience. I wish you all a Merry Christmas... I'll report later to tell you if everything went okay. Edited December 25, 2010 by MSF64

I undrestanding, this is a humor attempt, but... I didn't catch the meaning. Anyways... Cross fingers your phone will work.
