[SOLUTION] Blank phone after 2.1 upgrade?

Okay so I upgraded my phone to the 2.1 éclair, unfortunately for 2 hours I had a black screen although I was receiving text and calls but could now open or see them, if you are having this problem follow this solution and it should be fixed.

First remove your battery and restart (Although this can fix it, I highly doubt)

Restart the up-grader in emergency mode, once this is done and you hear your phone starting up. Press VOLUME UP + HOME + SEARCH

Congratulations, when you press the home button again. Android 2.1 is installed.

Thanks for your help but when i try flashing it in emergency mode it says phone cannot be found. Do you know why that is?
