com.android.vending has stopped unexpectedly

I tried to install and update apps from Market, they download fine but when it tries to install the apps, it crashes.

I've tried clearing the cache, installing a different Market apk, downloading from 3G instead of WiFi, and I restored the system from a clockwork backup but they all failed.

I'm using the MoDaCo Custom 2.1 ROM r4 (B05/OLED)

I tried searching the forum found some stuff but didn't help. Anyone got a clue?

I've had this problem which I think is to do with a phased update of the Market that hasn't reached all users yet. I resolved the problem (which has recurred and needed re-resolving) by going into Manage Applications, selecting the Market App and selecting Uninstall Update. It seems to provide a temporary fix which I suspect will be needed every now and then until everyone is on the new Market.

i have the same problem but anywhere says unistall update. i have the same problem with handcent sms
