Guest bewA Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 So i've been curious the last couple of days... With the Vega have the Tegra T20 which is allegedly the same one as the Motorola tab that Andy Rubin was demonstrating with Honeycomb on. It also didn't have any capacitive buttons like the vega If Paul (after having is little pow wow with DSGi) or DSGi are reading this, is there a possibility of getting honeycomb on this device? I mean gingerbread is all well and good but Honeycomb has a version more geared towards tablets! If there's a possibility of getting HC on the Vega then that makes it even more of a worth purchase!! what's everyone elses thoughts?
Guest rferrett Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 I think it is pretty much certain that the Vega will be *capable* of running Honeycomb. Whether or not DSG will be giving us an official update is probably open to some debate. We shall see eh? Fingers crossed and all that. Ralph
Guest bewA Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) agreed :) *looks @ Advent/DSG* ;) Edited December 19, 2010 by bewA
Guest removed-14 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Plenty of Android devices get the latest Android version waaaaaayyy before vendors make them available (if at all!). So I honestly am not worried about Honeycomb reaching the Vega.
Guest T4ylor Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) It's not really a case of "IF" but more of "WHEN" and I hope its soon Edited December 19, 2010 by T4ylor
Guest wex Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 It is thought that the Tegra 2 processor may be the reference design for Honeycomb. Vega users are likely to enjoy a great Honeycomb experience.
Guest rferrett Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Still it is pretty funky anyhow!
