HELP! panic!!! streak wont boot up......

Hi,

I was running Steve's 1.5.1, and then decided to go back to the 8105 build. so i flashed the stock recovery, which went fine. I then went on to flash the 8105 build.

After a few minutes I noticed that the screen was 'flash failed'.

I've managed to get clockwork mod recovery v1.8.1.7 flashed, but the sdcard wont mount. It keeps coming up with errors.

For example:

E: Can't find MISC

E:cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p2(no such file or directory)

Error mounting SDEXT:1

Please help. At present I dont car what buil is put on, so long as it works. Btw, I'm a rebelsim user.

Sounds like you just need to reflash. Since you were trying to go to 8105 I would suggest going into fast boot, flashing the recovery again then boot recovery and flash the rom. Check the sticky in this forum it's got all you need to get back to o2 8105

Erm, i have tried that. But i keep getting errors like described in first poist:(

if you google update8105.zip theirs an update.zip from 8105 that should let you flash at least the main os

Hi Stephen, thanks for the reply, sadly when i google 'update8105.zip', i do find a cpl of threads where it is mentioned, but no links to download, unless my frazzled mind isnt seeing them:(

also, which recovery should i use? so far It only seems to accept the clockworkmod recovery v1.8.1.7

Also, i dont seem to be able to get the new rom onto the sdcard. its not being read by the phone or pc now.

Your SD card may be corrupt, try it from fastboot.

Fastboot erase system

Fastboot update *romname.zip*

If you get me a minute I'll make sure it works on the streak before you try on yours, as I've never flashed a rom from fastboot on the streak. Shouldn't be any different than any other android device with fastboot though.

Actually that might only work with factory updates.

Might want to see if Steve has boot.img, system.img uploaded, you might be able to flash it that way.

its somehow found an update.zip file on the 2nd memory card that the pc no longer recognises(weird), and even flashes it. however, when rebooting after the flash, it just flashes the home and menu buttons. not even the dell logo appears. I have a feeling the update may well be 1.5.0. Any ideas?

any more ideas ? I cant get this to work. from googling it seems like i may have messed up the internal memory partitions?

Hi stoney,don't panic

the "Untouched"version of build 318 posted by Dj Steve can be flashed with fastboot only(no sdcard required)

maybe it helps.
