Guest Bluearmy73 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 The screen on my SF has stopped responding. It did the same thing last night but I just rebooted and it solved. This time it wont fix. Is there any way I could have locked it without realising? What options do I have getting it repaired? Can I take to orange shop or do I have to return it via post as I bought it online?
Guest lilzad Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 have you installed a custom rom??
Guest razzor1711 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 can you reach clockwork recovery?
Guest Viruss Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) Hi, there has been quite a discussion about this topic lately. You can find some information concerning your problem in Froyo lockscreen freeze topic and also at the last few pages of Pauls Froyo Alpha3/4 thread. However, if you are still on the stock ROM, then I would advise to exchange your SF at Orange. I believe that the way it works is to contact them and they'll have a courier sent to your house with the replacement. Edited December 19, 2010 by Viruss

Guest razzor1711 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 try putting a new rom on it :)
Guest Bluearmy73 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 I looked at the video and that "fix" doesnt work for me. As for putting a new rom on it, why would this fix the screen? I did a reset via clockwork but no good. Thanks for the help though guys
Guest Bluearmy73 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Ok, back from hols, just to get up to date with this. I put the orange rom back on this morning and the screen still does not respond. I now assume the screen is at fault? Anything else I need to do before returning the phone to orange? Can clockwork mod be removed? Does it need to be removed?

I keep "quick fixing" it by removing the battery cover and twisting the phone from both ends to make it have contact. Edited December 29, 2010 by novoiperkele
