Guest Urbansilverstar Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 I foolishly updated my o2 dell streak to 2.2 from 1.6 to find my rebel sim now no longer works, does anyone have a definitive guide on how to downgrade to 1.6 or even 2.1 from 2.2 I've tried a few guides but none seemed to work so far, I just end up booting to blank screen.

If it's an O2 2.2 then all you should need is an earlier O2 rom and just run it from a file manager. That has worked for me.

Put firmware onto a memory card and rename Update Put phone into fast boot by restarting and holding camera button Connect to a pc, and wait for phone to connect (may need to install drivers) Run dos command and go into root (C:) type fastboot recovery 8105.img or whatever you have called it. Type fastboot reboot Disconnect cable and wait for phone to reset On dell logo hold volume keys Scroll to update and press camera button Wait with patience Bobs your uncle now running on 2.1 with working rebel sim
