apps missing from market

I just noticed that on the vega i can't see the app sketchbook express on the market while i can see it on my phone...

Why is that?

You can probably get it by googling the term "Sketchbook express apk" I love that app :)

I have noticed the same in that some apps that showed on the old style market no longer show on the new one but i dont know why.

I just found 'Sketchbook Express' on the Market without difficulty .... have you applied all the Modaco mods yet? It could be you are still on the bog standard market right now which would explain why it's not there. I decided to download it myself and was disappointed because it does not seem to have been optimized for tablet use yet.

The market filters the apps based on the compatibility with the device. Try toggling the Spare Parts->Compatibility switch

got the same issue. My Vega crashed yesterday while on holiday. Im back up and running but some apps are missing after installing the lastest version with PP and r5

Has anyone got the Ocado apk. wife is not happy.

Another thing to try is switch the Market region the device accesses. Install the Market Enabler app. For the UK, use 23410 (O2). There are preset ones too. After the switch has been made, run your search again and your app should appear.

Spare Parts is in your app draw as it came part of Paul's Roms and the Compatibility Switch is right at the bottom.

The app draw is where you see all the icons for your apps, in there (if you have it) you will see an app called spare parts. If you cooked a rom you may have left it out

Thanks Higgsy I found the spare parts it was in the Apps page all the time doh :)

Update:- Sketchbook Express now installed and working full screen thanks.

I reinstalled the rom from the vega website then applied again the rom from paul and now I can see the app in the market...

but I still don't have the small bar at the top....

Did you make sure you ticked the boxes for perf pack and small notification bar in the kitchen menu?

Also, whats the MD5 signature of the zip file? Could you compare it to the MD5 value contained in the filename? The format should be something like: <date>-r5-vega-modacocustomromaddon-unsigned-MD5-<MD5_Signature>. For Windows, use this program. Or on a mac/linux: type 'openssl md5 <filename>' without the quotes.

Ok i will do that later when im back home. I just tried to install adfree from the market and when i open it says that it can't acces as the device is not rooted..

I also dont see any apps in superuser.

I wonder why my vega is not rooted...

Im in the US at the moment which is probably the reason for missing apps. I tried the code but its missing a digit i think i just get a message saying theres a problem houston :)

All sorted code is 234020

I alos used a different version of market enabler than suggested. The other one did not work.

Hi - I cant seem to get the market to work properly, I just get the crappy apps, and no paid for options etc. Have tried the steps in this thread, but no joy....any ideas?

I am also having this issue. Tried market enabler with the setting suggested, but no luck. Some key apps such as Go Launcher and Facebook for Andrid are missing from the market. Anyone got any suggestions?

You need to reflash the official firmware and then recook a ROM with the same settings you require.

I had the same problem and tried to reflash just the addon but still couldn't see some apps.

I used the same firmware file but a new cooked addon.

Also check the notifications in DOS when installing the addon, if you get any errors when pushing the first few files (like I did) then these seem to set the market half open.

Only when I had no errors during this process that I had full market.

I'll post up screenshots soon.
