Guest fonix232 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Today I got informed that T-Mobile Hungary received a new shipment of ZTE Blade, what has the previous fixes (gradient problems, touchscreen malfunctions, etc), and HAS 512MB RAM! badword you T-Mobile! Now I feel betrayed...
Guest shadowninty Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) Tell em your phone is faulty in a few weeks (after new stock is in) And pray you get the 512mb RAM one :) How about messing with the ROM to break touch screen? (stock ofc ;)) Edited December 20, 2010 by shadowninty

(stock ofc ;)) I wouldn't be surprised if you could break a blade with a stock ROM without even rooting it becayse /system is left mounted as read-write by default.

Yep, that's what is weird. I guess the new firmware (yep it comes with new firmware) will solve this. I hope I can swap my phone for a new one (a little story about touch screen malfunction, etc, and also, telling them the new supply have fixed this would solve it).
Guest Pistooli Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 It appears to be true, the Hungarian Blade forum is all over with the news about the 512 MB shipment. I do own a 256 MB version, but I do not feel betrayed. I am happy that finally we have the "right" version too.

Elég érdekes... De mindegy, én viszem vissza valamelyik nap a telefonomat, és kicseréltetem, ha nem akarják, fogyasztóvédelem!

Guest markusj Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) Well... I want to play angry birds with the local T-pont and some rocks. ad: How much difference does the extra RAM make? If the difference is just that some multitasking apps close earlier, I might simply keep my device. Kinda love it :) Edited December 20, 2010 by markusj

For example, "Angry Birds" plays a lot better on the Hungarian 256mb Blade, if you enable the swap partition. So I'm sure there will be a significant improvement on gaming too.

Guest markusj Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 The new blade is released :) Tomorrow I'll take my blade back to T-mobile, and I'll dump the new ROM.
Guest fonix232 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 The new blade is released :) Tomorrow I'll take my blade back to T-mobile, and I'll dump the new ROM. And what are you telling them, why you want to swap? I don't think they will just simply swap it because there's a new model I'm afraid. BUT, restoring stock rom, accessing system drive and changing hw_ui value in build.prop to 1 would do the job (actually, it will cause screen problems after restart, so you got a stock rom, while you have a buggy phone).

Helló! :) What kind of problems will it cause? I'm afraid to try it myself, did you tried it? When do you plan to change your phone, because I'm planning to do that myself in the near future, either in Miskolc or Debrecen, so if you could confirm they change it in Debrecen without any problems, and they have the new 512MB stock, I'll change it there too.

Az adott átírás kijelzőproblémákat okoz (kijelölések, menükiválasztások bal széle töredezik, szétesik, csíkozódik). Kb ennyi!

This is going to be interesting to see what changes they have made elsewhere. Edited December 22, 2010 by Sebastian404
Guest Dashes Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Could you make a recovery from this or tell me how to do it?(not sure how to make that update script) They also modified some apps (different size).
