Shouldnt it be "Stock Orange/ZTE ROM"? Because only people from the UK have the Orange branding, the rest of us are using the stock delivered from ZTE.

Its a mistake to require voting to see the results. Im undecided as of yet on which rom to pick and just had to pick a random one to see what people think is best.

I'm sticking with stock Orange, minus the Orange apps, until we get a production grade release of Froyo or Gingerbread. My phone is a production device, not a development machine and I don't want to bugger about with alpha and beta releases with constant updates, bugs, fixes and workarounds. Apart from the WiFi bug, which for me is a non issue, the stock ROM works perfectly well and gives me long battery life. It's very much a case of "if it ain't broke don't fix it!.

167 people have voted here, have you all tried all of those ROMs to form your opinion? I think its a bit hard to pick my favourite when I havent tried them all but I would still like to see the results because I value the opinions of those who have tried all those ROMs. So which ROM is currently top?

EDIT: Perhaps a more meaningful poll would be 'What ROM are you currently using?' as it can be assumed that most people find a good rom and stick with it.

Good point. I have stuck with the MODACO Custom ROMs. Now on a baked r4 which is ridiculously stable (no freezes or crashes - none, nada, zilch), gives me a battery life that suits my usage, and which tolerates my clumsy push/pull efforts over adb, minor tweaking of system/data files and so on.

because 2.1 / 2.2 is easier to understand for newbies than froyo (sounds like a Lord of the Rings character :))

Japanese Jellyfish is missing in the list (RSL3b at this moment), which I'm using and I think it is a very good rom (actually I'm still on RLS2, but will replace it with RLS3b soon).
