Ok, so i want to transfer images from my panasonic tz5 to the mighty vega via usb cable....what's my chances? Do i need to use this gscript/usb hosting stuff?

I'm also a mac user, so don't have use of windows utilities.

Any advice appreciated from you good people...

Yes you would need the gscript/usb stuff for it to work but make sure you follow the instructions carefully as lots of people (me included) have hit problems along the way. There is a topic here which you may have seen already which discusses those accessories which have been tested so far but not sure if anyone has tried a digital camera yet but don't see why it shouldn't as it would be considered to be a mass storage device I expect but you'd just have to try I guess.

Tried after reading this post, camera went into mass storage mode and managed to copy over my images.
