Guest my-planet Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) Hi guys, bought one these for my dad, and flashed it for him with r4 (as is my own and my wifes phone). We all have a LED screens, but unfortunately, his one looks like this when using the camera: The pictures themselves come out fine. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? Any help/tips/etc. much appreciated. I'm just worried about getting a TFT version if I take it back to the orange shop :-( Edited December 20, 2010 by my-planet

Yes I was also experiencing this problem with Paul's r4, it was due to the Java VM heap size. Take a look at this: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...3/java-vm-size/ The default is set to 24m but once you change it to 32m, that should fix the problem. I took the easiest route to fix the problem and just replaced Paul's r4 with Finnish Fillyjonk RLS3, it already has the heap size set to 32m. Everything is running smoothly and no issues at all. Get FF RLS3: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...ls3-2010-12-18/ Hope that helps.

If I know how to post on a forum, including pictures, you'd think I would already have tried the various search options on here - no? Of course I searched first, I just didn't search for the term 'banding'. Thank you for your reply - I will try it out later. Incidentally, I've got r4 on my phone, and didn't have this problem.
Guest goldengate Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I had this at first when I installed the FLB-Froyo G2 ROM on my OLED Blade. :) However it disappeared on its own (obviously I now know the heap size changed). I may fix it if I can be bothered but as the shots come out fine anyway don't think i'll bother, plus the horizontal lines help line up the photo shot ;)
Guest illum Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 As above, I find the lines quite useful for lining things up - and as they don't affect the output, no worries!
