Guest jchamier Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 So I took the plunge and installed alpha 4.... and its working quite nicely.... except: WiFi bug - has now appeared - so I installed Blade WiFi Fix from the market, as my home WLAN ends up showing as "disabled" ?? Then the market crashed, and I had to go into App Management and remove the "updates" - whatever that did, its now running an older Market App, any way to update this again? And 3G Data is switching itself off which I don't want. Are these normal, or should I go back to 2.1, and do without Exchange sync ? :-(

No idea on the 3G I'm afraid. I leave it off to save battery and just switch it on when I need it.

Sometimes some odd symptoms appear from files left over from old ROM's if you don't.
Guest jchamier Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Hi all, I think the 3G on/off is not an issue. On the home screen power widget I was turning off the button next to brightness. On 2.1 this was sync, but in 2.2 its a new icon which I think is 3G. I did the wipe data and wipe cache in Clockwork as soon as I'd installed the ZIP, and before I rebooted. thanks

The process should be: Nandroid backup (just in case you screw it up!) Wipe cache and data Install ROM from zip Reboot You might want to try this again and see if it solves your issue?
