Guest swarrans Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I know others do not seem to get lip sync delay but on my Vega it is awful For instance on BBC iplayer watching the Gavin and stacey Christmas special the sound is delayed from the picture by about 2 seconds and so is completely unwatchable. I am using miren browser with r4 and pp - do others get better performance?

I am running r5 + pp & iPlayer is pretty good - but nowhere near as good as my Win 7 PC. I am running the Vega stock browser - not sure what it is!
Guest nigelpwilson Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Which flash version are you using ? As there are about 3 different ones being used on Vega and some seem better than others ?
Guest boffboff Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I believe you need to use one of the GLES Flash versions (please somebody correct this if I'm wrong) as they support h/w acceleration on the Tegra2. The Flash version that was on the 1.04 rom had this (version Flash.gles2.10.1.95.18 I think) There is a newer one also (Flash.gles.10.1.95.22?) There is also Flash 10.1.120 but not sure on the GLES situation with that one. I'm running at the moment and haven't noticed any problems (not tried it with BBC iPlayer yet though). Check the stickied 're-enabling/reinstalling flash' thread at the top, and also there's another thread where links to the other Flash version have been posted. Hang on I'll see if I can find it... Here we go Slightly newer Flash player for the Vega Hope that helps anyway, sorry it's rushed I'm in work.
Guest swarrans Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) I'm on Paul's 1.04 r4 with performance pack - I think he included the "best" flash in that didn't he? Hopefully it is just either the browser I'm using or the version of flash.... Edit: Brilliant, I updated Flash to that latest level and all is fine now! Simon Edited December 21, 2010 by swarrans
Guest goldenbolux Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I can watch gavin and stacey in full screen with no sync issues with stock browser with latest update and pauls latest rom but without pp Hope this help
Guest boffboff Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) I'm also on R4 + PP so I'll try and have a look tonight and also compare to the laptop. Can you confirm if lip sync issue is only fullscreen, or both windowed and fullscreen? I tested it with Miranda on iPlayer a while back when I first had the Vega (beginning of Dec), and when I went HD it started to drop off and give me syncing issues, thought at the time it was download speed/congestion. Edit: I see you've sussed it now. Well done! Edited December 21, 2010 by boffboff
Guest ChazW123 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Working fine here using Flash 10.1.120. I'm on the r5 with performance pack release of the Modaco rom.

Guest unholyimp Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I'm running Paul's r5 with the latest release from myadventvega 1.65 I think. I was watching Eastenders last night on my Vega and all was great until my Daughter started to mess around on You Tube. Then I got the circular load thingy in iplayer and from then on it was out of sync. Once she disconnected and I reloaded Eastenders everything went back to normal It maybe down to your bandwidth
